Welcome to Sagani where achieving harmony between the natural elements of Earth, Water, Air and Fire is the central goal of the spirits that populate this world. These spirits spend most of their time in their vessel-like dwellings. But when the elements are put in balance, the spirits emerge from their vessels and show themselves in their full form.

Each spirit embodies one of the four elements and influences the harmony between them. In Sagani, as you and your opponents create this colorful, harmonious world by employing your Sound discs, the spirits become fully visible. Every spirit that shows itself also brings you a step closer to victory.

5 of 5 Beautifully created world, excellent planning October 6, 2021

Sagani is game of planning, visualization, the tiniest bit of push your luck, and above all else….it is a game of balance. There is some cute art on the various elemental tiles, bright pleasing colors that make for an interesting personal player tableau, and a great production value overall for the components, also in my opinion the box art is especially striking and interesting.  You may never get the combinations you need to score all the 10 point tiles you’ve taken, and as your player grid expands in more directions recovery can be difficult.  This is what I enjoy so much about this game though, there are risks to playing too safe, or too aggressively. You can pay close attention to other players and then make strategic moves to remove tiles that they need. There is so much more to see and do in what initially looks like a simple tile laying game, there is depth and enjoyable mechanics to explore as you play this one over and over.
