The 2017 Edition Includes Updated and Revised Map and Cards for Railways of North America.

Railways of North America
expands the basic game of Railways of the World (ROTW) to Canada and requires a copy of the base game to play it. Fans of the series will be happy to see new features and an advanced map designed specifically for this expansion.

Designed for 2-5 players (but best with 3 or 4) this map has been in development for over a year! This new Canadian map introduces new features – Mines and Ferry Lines – using cards that start out on the table from the onset and can be claimed anytime (just like Railroad Operations cards) for the right price!

(1) 15 x 36 Revised Map of Canada
(50) Railroad Operation Cards with Mines and Ferry Lines
(24) Canadian and Transcontinental Barron Cards
(12) Player Reference Cards
(1) Score Track
(1) 12 x 14 Sheet of Snowy Track Tiles
(1) Updated Expansion Rules

As a proud Canadian, I was very excited when I found out about this expansion, and (for the most part) it lived up to my expectations.  However, I figured that, having entitled the expansion Railways of North America, the game would feature a map of Canada large enough to make a complete map of North America when combined with the eastern and Western US maps.  Alas, it does not.  The Canadian map makes for a great standalone game, but it would be nice to make a giant map using all three games.  Also, since the Canadian map doesn't fit with the other two, it begs the question:  "Why not make the map a more complete representation of Canada?"  The map should really be extended to include Southern Ontario, and then you could also include a few other northern US cities.  However, despite my grousing, this is a lovely expansion, great for a smaller number of people.
