Botswana is a rethemed version of the simple and elegant Knizia classic Loco, with the addition of some wonderful animal miniatures.
There are six cards (numbered 0-5) in five suits corresponding to the five animal miniatures of each: rhinos, leopards, lions, zebras, elephants. Cards are dealt out to all players, and in turns they play a card and take an animal. When one animal has all six of its cards played, the last card played for each animal represents how many points those animals are worth.
This is a first rate family game that can serve double-duty as a quick, light, social filler. In terms of fun, ease of learning, replayability, you would be hard pressed to go wrong with getting it. It's accessible, plays quickly, and has gorgeous components. Featuring a very elegant design, despite some luck of the draw it also enables you to make clever and tense choices. Attractive and high quality components round out an excellent all-round package that's excellent value.
